Shut down the remote computer with CMD. In this article, I will show you how you can remotely shut down computers that are in the same network environment with CMD.

Shut down another computer with a command prompt

  • Open CMD as administrator
  • In the window that opens, enter the following command
shutdown -i
  • On the screen that opens, enter the Hostname or IP address of the computer you want to turn off.
