CMD COMMANDS

This article describes the CMD commands and tasks that you can use in a windows operating system.

  1. calc.exe = Serves to open the calculator.

Commands for opening files:

  1. comexp.msc = To open component services.
  2. certmgr.msc = To open the Certificates screen.
  3. eventvwr.msc = To open the event viewer screen.
  4. services.msc = Serves to open the Services screen.
  5. cladv.msc = Utility to open the Indexing Services screen.
  6. dfrg.msc = To open the disk defragmenter feature screen.
  7. secpol.msc = To open the local security screen.
  8. perfom.msc = Serves to open the performance screen.

Commands for quick access to system tools:

  1. narrator.exe = Serves to open the voice reader.
  2. logon.exe = Serves to restart Windows.
  3. eudcedit.exe = Serves as a typeface generator.
  4. nslookup.exe = To find out the IP address of which network it is connected to.
  5. C:\WINDOWS\system32\tsshutdn.exe = To shut down the computer in 60 seconds.
  6. C:\WINDOWS\system32\webfldrs = Serves to establish dialogues on the computer.
  7. C:\WINDOWS\system32\attrib.exe = Displays files .dll, .exe, and so on the computer.

Commands for listing files:

  1. netstat -n = Shows addresses and the numbers of ports numerically.
  2. netstat = Indicates the sender's IP address when receiving files.
  3. netstat -a = Serves to show all connections.
  4. netstat -b = Serves to show executable files related to each connection.
  5. netstat -e = Serves to display Ethernet statistics.
  6. netstat -o = Serves to show the process ID with each connection.
  7. netstat -p = Serves to show connections to protocols.
  8. netstat -r = Serves to show the routing table.
  9. netstat -s = Serves to show statistics for protocols.
  10. winver = Shows the information for the version of Windows.
  11. ing ip = Serves to measure the connection by pinging other computers connected to the same IP.
  12. pathping = Serves to look at the connection speed between the modem and the computer.
  13. ipconfig = Serves to show the IP address on the network to which the computer is connected.
  14. ipconfig /all = Shows the IP address and all other statements on the network to which the computer is connected.
  15. ipconfig /all >webtekno.txt = Writes all IP information to a text file named webtekno.txt.
  16. ipconfig /registerdns = Serves to register the name and IP address of the computer in DNS.
  17. ipconfig /renew = Serves to renew the IP address on the network to which the computer is connected.

Commands for technical work:

  1. rmdir = Deletes an existing or completely empty file.
  2. repair-bde = Repairs a corrupted or decrypted drive using BitLocker.
  3. sfc = Serves to scan or replace important Windows files.
  4. cipher /w:c = Deletes files on the drive that cannot be deleted.
  5. driverquery = To open the driver list to find the incorrectly installed driver.
  6. shutdown/r/o = Allows you to open Advanced Startup Settings after resposing the computer
  7. shutdown -l = To log off the current user.
  8. shutdown -f = Serves to close applications that are currently open.
  9. shutdown -s = To shut down the computer after 30 seconds.
  10. shutdown = To shut down the computer.
  11. powercfg /a = Serves to show how much power the computer is saving.
