CMD commands

This article describes the CMD commands and tasks that you can use in a windows operating system.

calc.exe = Serves to open the calculator.
diskmgmt.msc = To open disk management.
devmgmt.msc = Allows you to open the device manager.
dfrg.msc = To open the disk defragmenter.
eudcedit.exe = Serves to fabricate characters.
appwiz.cpl = Allows you to open the Add and remove programs screen.

comexp.msc = To open component services.
certmgr.msc = To open the Certificates screen.
eventvwr.msc = To open the event viewer screen.
services.msc = Serves to open the Services screen.
cladv.msc = Utility to open the Indexing Services screen.
dfrg.msc = To open the disk defragmenter feature screen.

Commands for quick access to system tools:

narrator.exe = Serves to open the voice reader.
logon.exe = Serves to restart Windows.
eudcedit.exe = Serves as a typeface generator.
nslookup.exe = To find out the IP address of which network it is connected to.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\tsshutdn.exe = To shut down the computer in 60 seconds.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\webfldrs = Serves to establish dialogues on the computer.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\attrib.exe = Displays files .dll, .exe, and so on the computer.

Commands for listing files:

netstat -n = Shows addresses and the numbers of ports numerically.
netstat = Indicates the sender's IP address when receiving files.
netstat -a = Serves to show all connections.
netstat -b = Serves to show executable files related to each connection.
netstat -e = Serves to display Ethernet statistics.
netstat -o = Serves to show the process ID with each connection.
netstat -p = Serves to show connections to protocols.
netstat -r = Serves to show the routing table.
netstat -s = Serves to show statistics for protocols.
winver = Shows the information for the version of Windows.
ing ip = Serves to measure the connection by pinging other computers connected to the same IP.
pathping = Serves to look at the connection speed between the modem and the computer.
ipconfig = Serves to show the IP address on the network to which the computer is connected.
ipconfig /all = Shows the IP address and all other statements on the network to which the computer is connected.
ipconfig /all >webtekno.txt = Writes all IP information to a text file named webtekno.txt.
ipconfig /registerdns = Serves to register the name and IP address of the computer in DNS.
ipconfig /renew = Serves to renew the IP address on the network to which the computer is connected.

Commands for technical work:

rmdir = Deletes an existing or completely empty file.
repair-bde = Repairs a corrupted or decrypted drive using BitLocker.
sfc = Serves to scan or replace important Windows files.
cipher /w:c = Deletes files on the drive that cannot be deleted.
driverquery = To open the driver list to find the incorrectly installed driver.
shutdown/r/o = Allows you to open Advanced Startup Settings after resposing the computer
shutdown -l = To log off the current user.
shutdown -f = Serves to close applications that are currently open.
shutdown -s = To shut down the computer after 30 seconds.
shutdown = To shut down the computer.
powercfg /a = Serves to show how much power the computer is saving.
